Meet Jocelyn
Founder of Sonder Speech
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist. B.SpPath
Hi, I’m Jocelyn!
I’m the founder of Sonder Speech, a mobile speech pathology service providing neurodiversity affirming and capacity building support for individuals and families at different points in their development.
I work with people in their everyday environments, including the home, early learning settings, schools, and the community. I place strong emphasis on understanding each person within the context of their relationships, routines, and support networks, and I work closely with families and other professionals to support meaningful and practical outcomes.
I have particular experience and interest in early language development, speech sound development, stuttering, orofacial myology (tongue thrust), and social communication. I enjoy supporting children and adolescents to build communication skills that support participation, confidence, and self advocacy in daily life.
I hold a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Australian Catholic University and am a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia. I am certified to deliver the Lidcombe Program for children who stutter, Hanen More Than Words, and Colourful Semantics. My practice is grounded in evidence based care, collaboration with individuals and families, and ongoing professional development.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
